How to return a parcel?

Returning goods purchased from Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania

If you need to return items bought from an online store, please check the store's return policy.

With Omniva, you can return a shipment three ways:

  • Using the 6-digit return code.
  • Using the return shipment code.
  • Via the Returns portal.

Using the 6-digit return code.
If the delivery SMS/email includes a six-digit code, you can use it to return the parcel at the post office or parcel machine at no extra cost, no matter if the parcel was delivered by courier or picked up from a post office or parcel machine.

To return the parcel at a post office, simply hand it over to the post office worker and provide the 6-digit return code.

To return the parcel at a parcel machine
Do not remove the address card attached to the parcel to be returned.

  • On the screen, select “Return parcel”.
  • Enter the 6-digit return code.
  • Place the parcel in the locker. The return address card will be added to the parcel by the courier upon its pickup.

Using the return shipment code.
Some senders may have created a shipment code (e.g., CEXXXXXXXXEE) for the recipient to use to return the parcel via a parcel machine at no extra cost.

At the parcel machine, select “Returning” or “Sending parcel”-> “Already registered” on the screen, enter the shipment code, and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you do not receive a return code with the parcel notification, but the seller of the goods has allowed a free return, you can return the parcel machine parcel with the original parcel code through any Omniva parcel machine or post office. Do not remove the address card attached to the parcel to be returned. On the parcel machine screen, select “Return parcel”, scan the barcode or enter the original parcel code, and place the parcel in the locker. The return address card will be added to the parcel by the courier upon its pickup.

On web page tagastus.omniva.ee you can return parcel within Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania to a seller, who has joined with Omniva's return service. Depending on the store's return policy, you may request a refund or exchange for a different item(s).

To return your parcel in the returns portal:

  • Search and select the online store.
  • Register the return by filling in the required details.
  • Package and send the parcel via a parcel machine.

Online shops typically process the returns and refund or exchange the items within 14-30 days after receiving the return.

All returns must be registered in private customers e-service. Steps and conditions for returning vary according to Picapac machine type.

Returning goods purchased from abroad

When returning a parcel to a foreign seller, return costs are usually paid by the addressee. Please check the seller's return policy for more information.

You can ask for a refund of the VAT and customs charges paid upon collecting a parcel from a non-EU country. Send a digital application form cancelling the the declaration to emta@emta.ee or submit it in person at the nearest customs office.
